Ba iad an píobaire ó Mhuineacháin Tiarnán Ó Duinnchinn agus an cláirseoir ó Bhaile Átha Cliath Oisín Morrison a bhuaigh bonn óir Sheáin Uí Riada i gcluiche ceannais na ceolchoirme a bhí ar siúl i gCorcaigh Dé hAoine an 18 Eanáir 2013.
Bronnadh bonn óir ar gach buaiteoir a dhear an gabha óir Pádraig Ó Mathúna go speisialta agus seic €1250 ag an ócáid in Óstán Rochestown Park.
Bhí 15 ceoltóir san iomlán san iomaíocht sa chluiche ceannais, ochtar píobaire agus seachtar cláirseoir. Ba iad na moltóirí ná na píobairí Mick O’Brien as Baile Átha Cliath, Ailean Domhnallach as Albain, agus an cruitire Laoise Kelly ó Mhaigh Eo.
Bhí na boinn óir i gcomórtas na bliana seo urraithe ag Gael Linn.
Monaghan piper Tiarnán Ó Duinnchinn and Dublin harpist Oisín Morrison were the winners of the Seán Ó Riada gold medal in the concert final which took place in Cork on Friday the 18th of January 2013.
The winners were each presented with a gold medal specially designed by Cashel goldsmith Pádraig Ó Mathúna and a cheque for €1250 at the event in the Rochestown Park Hotel.
There were 15 musicians in total competing in the final, eight pipers and seven harpists. The judges were pipers Mick O’Brien from Dublin, Ailean Domhnallach from Scotland, and Mayo harpist Laoise Kelly.
The gold medals in this year’s competition were sponsored by Gael Linn.
